Lavern Albert Harms Tjaden, “LV” passed away early Saturday morning on December 7th, 2019 at Poudre Valley Hospital. LV was born in Auburn Nebraska on December 31st, 1945. Growing up he always dreamed of being a truck driver like his dad and he drove a truck over the road for 40 years and owned his own trucking company for 10 years. LV enjoyed the simpler parts of life, for instance one of his favorite smells was roses. Everyone knew how much of a dog lover he was. Throughout his life he often enjoyed riding his motorcycle and driving a John Deer Tractor. At a young age LV served in the Army Reserves which helped shape him into the respectable man everyone knew and loved. He was often known for his fiery spirit and ornery, light hearted joking but no matter what his loving and caring soul always shined through. LV was the type to always go above and beyond to help his loved ones and spending time with his family and friends was when he seemed to be his happiest. He will be missed dearly.
He is survived by his wife, Linda, having been married for 25 years. Also his sister Judy and husband Keith Stuart. His children, Jeff (Tina) Tjaden, Brett Tjaden, David Harrison, Annette Harrison, And Jenn Tjaden. His grandchildren, Adam (Colleen) Harrison, Danielle (Mike) Miller, Aubrey (Jillian) Schlemer, Brianna Tjaden, Megan Tjaden, Jared Tjaden, as well as 4 great grandchildren, along with many close friends.
LV was preceded in death by his parents Orval and Esther Tjaden, his sisters Alice and Neil Northey, and Shirley Mae. His brother Dennis Tjaden, and his son Corey Tjaden.
Services will be held at the Viegut Funeral Home in Loveland, Colorado at 10:30 AM on Thursday, December 12, 2019.
