Vonnie Jean Frank, 66, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2018 after battling a terminal illness, surrounded by her family. She was born in Brush, CO and grew up on her family farm in Hoyt. Growing up she shared a great joy in cooking with her grandmother, Hannah. She worked for over 20 years at Jacks Bean Company in Fort Morgan, a job she loved dearly. After having a family, she later moved to Loveland, CO where she worked for many years at Loveland Feed and Grain. She later retired and enjoyed time with her family and friends. She will be remembered for her love of cooking German dishes, cross stitching, the joy and love her children and grandchildren brought her, and her witty jokes. Her greatest accomplishment in life was the love she had for her children.
She is survived by her three children, Tyler (Shelley) Christy of Milliken, CO, Dawn (Brian) Huffaker of Johnstown, CO, and Danette Christy of Loveland, CO, as well as by her ex husband, Terry Christy of Johnstown, CO, who she remained close with and continued to share memories with as a family; her four grandchildren, Taner Beckett, Megan Christy and Landon and Colton Huffaker, as well as her brother, Kenneth (Linda) Frank of Timnath, CO. She is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Shirley Frank, her grandparents, Henry and Hannah Frank, Willard and Hazel Stutz, and several other family members. Though Vonnie’s time here on earth was short, she made a huge impact on her family and will be greatly missed and always remembered.
Cremation has been completed. Celebration of Life on April 14, 2018 from 4:30-7:00pm at the family's home, 3859 Brunner Blvd. Johnstown, CO 80534.
