Thomas Daniel Formica of Windsor, Colorado lost a long and valiantly fought battle with cancer on July 12, 2019.
Born in Philadelphia, Tom lived and worked all over the country throughout his rich and full life, including Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Ohio, California, Washington and Alaska, but the beauty of Colorado and the peacefulness of Windsor always pulled at his heart since his days as a Colorado State Ram and 35 years ago he came back to Colorado to settle down for good.
Tom's work life was as varied and interesting as the places he lived. Most recently he was the Vice President of Federal Savings Bank but, he also, after a very successful college football career, signed with the Denver Broncos and Baltimore Colts - a promising career cut short by injuries.
Above all, Tom cherished interacting and engaging with others and was quite active with his church. He loved spending time with family and friends and could always be counted on for a deep and prolific conversation about any number of interesting topics.
Tom is survived by a large, loving and close family including his wife, children, parents, siblings and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, father and his beloved pets.
A celebration of Tom's life will be held on July 18, 2019. Please contact Viegut Funeral Home for further information.
