Sarah Isabel “Sally” Lower passed away peacefully at her home near Windsor, Colorado on August 31, 2018 at the age of 97. She was born on October 1, 1920 to Clyde and Bella Moore at their farm in East Fairfield, Ohio. She was a 1938 graduate of Columbiana High School and enlisted in the Marine Corp at the beginning of World War II. On December 7, 1945, she married William “Bill” Clyde Lower, and for fifty nine years they were together until his passing in 2004. For the first 25 years of their marriage, Bill and Sally lived in Evans City, PA. Then, in 1971, they moved to the Fort Collins area where Bill worked for the Colorado State Avian Science department.
Sarah is survived by her three children Tom of Mars, PA, Rick of Portland, OR and Sara Jo of Fort Collins; as well as eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her three sisters Helen Crouse, Mildred Bonfert and Grace Rupert; and her two brothers, Robert and Edgar Moore.
Cremation has been completed. Private services will be held.
