Robert Eugene Blair, 81, of Windsor, CO, went home to be with the Lord on January 7th, 2020 at UCHealth Medical Center of the Rockies. He was born in Greeley Colorado on May 1, 1938 to Charles and Anna Blair. Robert grew up in Weld County, Co. He was the youngest of seven children. He was a graduate of New Raymer High School in Weld County. He joined the US Air Force in 1958 and served as an aircraft electrical repairman for the 97th Bombardment Wing. He worked on many aircrafts, including the B-52, during his years of service. He served until 1964. After the Air Force, he moved to Denver and joined the IBEW local electrical union 68 and worked on several large projects over his career, including the Eisenhower tunnel, several large buildings in downtown Denver, and DIA airport. After he retired from the IBEW, he stayed in Denver. He enjoyed spending time with family and getting together with friends at the American Legion and TREA. He enjoyed horseracing, fishing, traveling to the mountains, and visiting Blackhawk and Central City.
He is survived by two sisters, Martha Sweigard and Dorothy, a son Robert Jr., his daughter-in-law Beth, and two grandchildren, Kade and Kyle.
A graveside memorial will take place at Fort Logan National Cemetery in February.
