Rick Steven Parker passed away unexpectedly on September 29th, 2019. Rick served in the Army for three years. During his time in the army he was a communication equipment operator. He spent a year of his service in overseas in Korea. He spent many years working in the natural gas industry in Colorado. For the last few years he had been working at VA in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
Rick loved to spend time with all the dogs that entered his life. Two dogs that had a special place in his heart were Calypso and Sadie. He also appreciated nature. Rick would take long scenic drives around his birthplace of Berthoud and the foothills of Northern Colorado. He was an avid Broncos fan, even the last few seasons. He was able to touch lives in his own unique way, leaving a lasting impression. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his daughters Rachel Hasting and husband Chris, Morgan Emmons and husband Bradley. Grandchildren Brittany Asmussen and husband Lance, Patrick Hasting, and Parker Emmons. Great-grandchildren Bradley and Kloe Asmussen.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday October 18, 2019 at 11:00 am at Viegut Funeral Home with a reception to follow at Embassy Suites in Loveland, CO.
