It is with great sadness that the family of Pat Del Vecchio announce his sudden passing on Sunday, June 17, 2018, at the age of 70. Pat was born in Newark, NJ, to Silvio and Agatha (Palmeri) Del Vecchio. He married his high school sweetheart and best friend, Donna (Muessig) Del Vecchio, on June 6, 1971. That same year he graduated Monmouth University in West Long Branch, NJ, with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. After teaching, he trained and raced Standardbred horses in NJ. Prior to moving to Las Vegas in 1986, Pat owned his own golf shop in Cranbury, NJ where he was able to enjoy his greatest passion. In his retirement, Pat enjoyed playing golf with his friends at The Olde Course in Loveland and, particularly, all the new friends he made at his part-time position at TOC Colorado.
After moving to Las Vegas, Pat became a blackjack dealer at MGM Resorts for 21 years. He and Donna retired to Loveland in 2015 to be near his son, Pasquale Del Vecchio, daughter-in-law, Jackie (Franks) Del Vecchio, and their two grandchildren, Pasquale IV and Lilith Grace.
In addition to Donna, Pasquale, Jackie, Pasquale IV and Lilith, Pat is also survived by his sister, Debbie (Rob) Del Vecchio Danziger, in-laws Jack (Karen) Muessig, Debbie Paolini, Tom (Terry) Muessig, and nieces and nephews Stacy, Dana, Amanda, and Danny. He was predeceased by his parents and in-laws, John and Annelies Muessig.
