Marcia Jean Porter of Loveland, Colorado was called upon on October 17th, 2019 to walk through the heavenly gates to her Eternal Kingdom.
Marcia was born in Pocahontas, Iowa where she attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Marcia was the only daughter of Charles and Marie Fleege. She had three incredible brothers, as well as she was grateful to have benefited from gaining two "sister" in-laws and a “brother-in-law”. After graduating high school, Marcia attended Fort Dodge Beauty School at which time she met and married her husband of 53 years, Jim Porter, also from Iowa. Together, they have two daughters, Michelle and Melissa. Not long after the girls were born, they moved to Ft. Collins, Colorado. Marcia worked as a hairstylist, and later moved to Arizona where she continued to work as a senior hairstylist. Eventually, they decided to move back to Colorado, where she retired and they made their home in Loveland, Colorado.
Marcia is survived by her Husband, two daughters, five grandchildren and her newborn great Grandson, Cohen born one day later, to Cortney and Cade. In addition, she is survived by all of her amazing "Family" (those Friends that she has always welcomed as her Family) and there are too many to name, but whom need to be recognized for always being there for her as her extended Family.
We wish to thank all the staff at Medical Center of the Rockies for their wonderful, thoughtful, and loving care from the time she arrived in your care, until the eternal day that she left us, you have all been truly amazing in this time of grief.
