Kimberley G. DeLany, of Windsor, Colorado, wife, sister and friend, passed away on Wednesday June 6, 2018 after a brief illness. Born Kimberley Joan Gould on February 14, 1950 in Summit, N.J., she was the daughter of Julius L. Gould and Mary Elaine (Jones) Gould. Kim graduated from Edward Little High School in Auburn, Maine and received her B.A. degree in Art History from Manhattanville College in Purchase, N.Y.
While working in the insurance industry, Kim relocated to Dallas, Texas where she met and married her husband of 40 years, Thomas DeLany. Kim later followed her love of animals by becoming a veterinary technician. Four years ago, Kim and her husband, Tom, relocated to Colorado. Kim volunteered at CSU’s veterinary school as well as Hearts and Horses, a horse therapy facility where she worked with seniors.
She adopted many cats and dogs over the years, including her current dog, Honey and her cats, Phoebe and Idgie. An avid horsewoman, Kim had been riding for many years and leaves behind her beloved horse of 11 years, Tucker.
Kim and Tom traveled extensively around the world, as well as trips scuba diving, horseback riding, skiing and golfing. A lifelong fan of the arts, Kim enjoyed attending the theatre and ballet, most recently in Denver and Vail.
Kim leaves behind her husband, Thomas DeLany, two brothers, Jay S. Gould of Fort Collins, CO. and Christopher A. Gould of Casper, Wyoming and a sister, Jennifer G. Annetti of Loveland, CO. She is predeceased by her parents as well as a sister, Linda G. Capano, formerly of Naples, Maine. Kim was loved by many as a kind, caring and compassionate woman and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
