Kenneth Alan Polsley, 82, of Johnstown, Colorado, passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2019, at Pathways Hospice Care Center at McKee Medical Center in Loveland, CO, following a protracted illness. Ken was born in Kingfisher, Oklahoma on February 7, 1936 to Harold and Irma Polsley. The family relocated to Colorado and Ken subsequently graduated from South High School in Denver in 1953. On August 20, 1955, Ken married Georgia Eileen (Roland) Polsley, his wife of 63 years. Ken served in the United States Army from 1957 to 1959, stationed in Arizona and New Jersey. Following his honorable discharge from the Army, Ken pursued training as an accountant at the University of Denver, and subsequently worked in the financial services industry. He was an avid Denver Broncos fan, holding season tickets to home Broncos games since the early 1960s to the present, and amassing an impressive collection of Broncos memorabilia spanning five decades. His family will miss his dry wit, his love of animals and intellectual curiosity.
He is survived by his wife, Georgia E. Polsley, a sister Janis Van Hee (Ronald) of Grand Junction, Colorado, and his three children Melinda (Gary) Landeck of Sherman, Texas, DebiSue Polsley of Loveland, Colorado, and David (Chelsea) Polsley of Garden Grove, California. Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Irma Polsley.
A funeral service in his honor is planned for 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Viegut Funeral Home, 1616 North Lincoln Avenue, Loveland, Colorado 80538 with viewing 1 hour prior to services and a reception at the Viegut Reception Center following services.
