Harold Eugene Barhite, 84, of Fort Collins died April 23, 2018. He was born January 9, 1934 in Wiggins, CO to Frank and Minnie (Binger) Barhite.
Known to friends and family as Hal and Buzz. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and then worked as an Electrician for Great Western Sugar and later for the U.S. Government, Department of Energy before his retirement. Hal lived in Wiggins, Loveland and Brush before moving to Ft. Collins. After his first marriage to Janet (Whicker) Morel in 1961, he married Wilma (Nicklow) Barhite on February 2, 1985.
He enjoyed fishing, camping, coin collecting, volunteering and watching Western movies. He especially loved spending time with his family and his furbaby, Rascal Flatts.
Harold is survived by his Children from his first wife – Bill (Karen) Barhite, Randy (Tamara) Barhite and Shellie Barhite of Colorado; Stepchildren from his second wife - Allen Nicklow of Pennsylvania, Joseph Cook Jr., Raymond Cook and Dianna (Steve) Stewart of Colorado; Grandchildren A.J. Barhite, Sarah (James) Spruill, Jaycelin Rogers, Taylor Cook, Laura Reilly, Holli Cook and Jessie Stewart; Great Grandchildren Luke Reilly and Maleiha Reilly. He was preceded in death by his spouses, parents and siblings Oliver, Arnold, Wesley, Frank, Melvin, Leona, Betty and Fern.
Memorial Mass will be held Monday, April 30, 2018, 10:30 A.M. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Inurnment will take place at the Fort Morgan Cemetery Columbarium with Military Honors on May 12, 2018 at 11:00 A.M.
