Elsie Mae Eason, 88, beloved wife of Clarence A. Eason, went home to be with the Lord on Monday morning, March 4, 2019 at McKee Medical Center in Loveland, Colorado. She was an active member of Loveland Bible Church.
Mrs. Eason was born the daughter of Reverend Herbert E. Johnson and Myrtle E. Newquist Johnson, on June 17, 1930. She was a 1948 graduate and valedictorian of North Branch High School in Minnesota. She attended the Norwegian Bible College in Minneapolis and Trinity Bible College in Chicago, Illinois.
Clarence and Elsie were married April 8, 1952 in San Francisco, California, while Clarence served in the U.S. Army. They celebrated 66 plus years together. Their home was blessed with 4 children: Daniel L. Eason, Donald H. (Nancy) Eason, Lois R. (Donald) Parsons, and Loren P. (Katherine) Eason, 7 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. She leaves behind a brother, Stanley T. Johnson of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and nieces and nephews.
Elsie enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family and church friends, crocheting, knitting, or cross-stitching one of many gifts while taking in the conversation. She was a committed follower of Christ, devoted to Bible study, prayer, and missionary outreach. Her presence with us will be missed.
She was predeceased by her parents and son Daniel L. Eason.
A Celebration of Elsie’s Life will be held at Loveland Bible Church on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 10:30 AM, with refreshments following.
