Eileen Schnaufer, 90, passed away peacefully January 31,2019, at Good Samaritan Village in Loveland, CO. Eileen was born December 14, 1928, in Pleasant Prairie, WI to Joseph and Laura Bannwart. She was the middle child of three girls. She attended school in Kenosha, WI. She worked at Simmons, Inc. as a seamstress until she married the love of her life, George Schnaufer, and she then became a homemaker and raised four children. In 1970, they moved to Colorado to be closer to the mountains that reminded her of Switzerland where she was fortunate to spend a year there with her family. She loved the mountains and spending weekends at their cabin. She enjoyed gardening and spending free time outdoors. She had a love of animals and always had many pets over the years.
Survivors include her children, Gary and wife Debbie Schnaufer of Seal Beach, CA, Wendy and husband Tim Koldeway of Loveland, Lori Brake of Loveland, Sandra and husband Larry McClure of Fort Collins, eight grandchildren; Jennifer, Stacy, Curtis, Michael, Jason, Shannon, Lauren and Daniel. Great-grandchildren; Peyton, Phoebe, Chloe, Kylie, Kaci, Harlow, Elliot and June.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Laura Law of Waukegan, IL, Wanda Larson of Loveland and her husband George of Loveland.
Memorial Service will be 11 am, Tuesday, February 5, 2019, at Viegut Funeral Home, 1616 N. Lincoln Avenue, Loveland. Inurnment will be in Loveland Burial Park.
