Clarence Albert Eason, 91, beloved husband of Elsie Mae Johnson Eason, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 17, 2020.
Mr. Eason was born the son of Donald Edward Eason and Francis H. Bailey Eason, on December 15, 1928 in Terre Haute, Indiana. He graduated from Urbana High School in Urbana, IL and attended Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota where he studied English and the Bible.
Clarence and Elsie were married April 8, 1952 in San Francisco, California, while Clarence served in the U.S. Army. Elsie preceded him in death, in March of 2019, after celebrating more than 66 years together. Their home was blessed with 4 children: Daniel L. Eason, Donald H. (Nancy) Eason, Lois R. (Donald) Parsons, and Loren P. (Katherine) Eason, 7 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, a son, Daniel Eason, his sister, Janet H. Eason Black, and son-in-law, Donald Parsons.
Clarence was a faithful provider for his family, working at the University of Illinois, as a technical writer and technician for Woodward Governor, a realtor, and a piano tuner. Clarence loved God, his family, and music, playing multiple instruments. He was blessed with a beautiful singing voice and was always ready to minister in song. He was an active member of Loveland Bible Church, where he had served many years as an Elder. He was an amateur "rockhound" and photographer, and always had a joke or funny story to tell to anyone who would listen.
He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him.
A Celebration of Clarence's Life will be held at Viegut Funeral Home in Loveland, CO on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at 2:00 PM.
