Husband, Father, Grandfather & friend - Chuck loved people especially his church family at Foundations Church here in Loveland.
Charles L. "Chuck" Hunter was born May 3, 1937 to James & Helen (Moore) in Central Missouri. Chuck’s family owned a variety of businesses, giving Chuck some unique tools for later life.
Married at a very early age to Naomi Rush they became the proud parents of Michele (Steven) Matthews and Charles Jeffery (Jeff) (Dawn Anne (Grace) Weaver) Jeff & Grace’s family includes Benjamin (Charise), Andrew (Ashley) Laura and Joshua.
Chuck’s design career began at Westinghouse AGT (jet engines) in KC, MO. When that division closed Chuck and Naomi moved to Colorado in 1960 where his career as a Mechanical Design Engineer in Research and Development included the crew escape capsule for the B-58 bomber and Yankee ejection seat for the A-1E jet fighter pilot at Stanley Aviation in Denver.
Later at Ball Aerospace Chuck helped to design the cameras that flew on the Skylab space project to photograph the sun and the corona of the sun.
From space Chuck moved on to water filters at Teledyne Water Pik then on to HP here in Loveland where he took early retirement and reinventing himself as a Sculptor. His love of wildlife is clearly seen in his many pieces of sculpture.
Memorial services will be held at Foundations Church in Loveland on Friday, May 18, 2019 at 10:00am.
