Bonnie Joan Kihlthau, 80, went to be with the Lord and her beloved husband Vern of 63 years on Monday, June 17, 2019 at Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, CO.
Bonnie was born September 14, 1938 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Jack Sell and Ruby (Inman) Sell. She graduated from Scottsbluff High School in 1956. Bonnie then married the love of her life, Vernon D. Kihlthau on June 17, 1956. Vern and Bonnie engaged in farming from various parts of the valley from Morrill, Minatare, and Gering and Bonnie worked right alongside him. Following their farming career, she enjoyed working in town where she became friends with whomever she met. Bonnie is survived by her adopted children that she called her “Gifts from God”: son Matthew Kihlthau (Sheri) from Canutillo, TX; daughter Mitzi Cawthra (Tim) from Henry, NE; four grandchildren Britni and Michael Kihlthau, and Tyler and Dylan Schneider; 2 great grandchildren Oliver and Olivia; her twin sister Barbara Kilthau (Larry); and brother Ronald Sell (Janice); and several nieces and nephews that includes her wonderful caregiver Wendy Kilthau.
She was preceded in death by her parents Jack and Ruby Sell and her brother Jack Sell Jr.
A private family service will be held per Bonnie’s request. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Viegut Funeral Home in Loveland, CO.
