Bernard William Krall

January 22, 1940 ~ April 2, 2018 (age 78)

Bernard “Bernie” William Krall, 78, passed away at his home on April 2, 2018, in Loveland, CO.   He was born in rural Iowa where he and Linda, his wife and mother of their three daughters, made their home before leaving the Iowa cornfields in exchange for the Colorado Rocky Mountains in 1994.  Bernie was an equipment operator and worked at Oliver/White Farm Equipment—home of the tractor—in Charles City, IA for 31 years.  He retired from Universal Forest Products in Windsor, CO in 2005.

He was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and the Elks Lodge.  He enjoyed pitching horseshoes, hunting, fishing, playing cards, motorcycling and camping at his Iowa cabin.  Bernie was a huge Elvis fan as was evidenced by his only choice of music to be heard in his prized Jeep Wrangler

Bernard is survived by his daughters: Kelli (George) Donigian (George) of Loveland, Korine Usher (Jeff) of Thornton and Kristi Linderman (Tim) of Loveland; five grandchildren: Kara and Kody Usher, Ebony and Hunter Linderman, Molly Donigian; and two great grandsons: Oliver Wilson and Kaige Schneider.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Linda Krall, his parents, Bill and Helen Krall and his in-laws Melvin and Velva Meyer.

A memorial service will be held at Viegut Funeral Home on Friday, April 6, 2018 at 3:30 pm, with a reception following.  Memorial donations may be made to the Brain and Behavior Research Foundation, or to a charity of your choice in Bernie’s honor.
