Obituary

Amy Denise Bosse passed away peacefully in hospice care at McKee Medical Center on April 23, 2020.  She was 50 years old. She fought a valiant battle against cancer that was first diagnosed in June of 2018. Amy was a courageous fighter and lover of life.  Her vibrant spirit brought laughter and joy to those around her.   In true Amy fashion, cancer did not slow her down.  Between treatments, she traveled to Italy, Spain, Mexico, California, Arizona and Hawaii.

Amy was born the oldest of two children to Denis and Sue Sabo Bosse and grew up in Green Bay, Wisconsin.  She graduated from Green Bay East High School in 1988 and the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1992.  She married Chris Sewell on September 30, 2000 in Niwot, Colorado.  Amy and Chris had two children, Ben and Chloe.  Amy was also was the stepmother to Amy Elizabeth Sewell.

Amy loved animals and enjoyed the company of her dog, Scootie, and cat, Rose.

Amy worked her entire career in high tech and most recently worked as an OEM Business Manager at NetApp.

Amy loved to spend time with family and friends, loved to travel, and was always up for trying a new variety of wine.  Her favorite was the kind made from grapes. She was a voracious reader and enjoyed solving Sudoku puzzles.  Although she was not a big sports fan, she always spoke fondly of her Badgers and Packers and her time growing up in Wisconsin.  Everyone who knew Amy loved her sense of humor, quick wit and dance moves.

Amy was very generous and contributed both time and money to causes that she was passionate about, including the Larimer County Food Bank and the Larimer County Humane Society.

She is survived by her son, Ben, daughter, Chloe, stepdaughter Amy and husband Robert Meyer, mother, Sue Sabo Bosse, sister, Kristen Bosse-Adams, nephew, Jacob and niece, Jada. She was preceded in death by her father, Denis Bosse.

No services are scheduled at this time.  Her remains will be spread at Rocky Mountain National Park at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to be made in Amy's honor to the Larimer County Food Bank or the Larimer County Humane Society
